Production & Turnaround

All production timelines vary based on garment complexity, current studio workload, and seasonal demand.

Made In-House & Ready to Ship pieces are completed and typically ship within 24–48 hours of purchase (excluding weekends and holidays).

Made to Order pieces are constructed after purchase. Production timelines are determined based on the scope of the garment and current scheduling capacity. An estimated completion timeframe will be communicated at the time of order confirmation.

Because each Made-to-Order piece is individually handcrafted, timelines may adjust if additional fittings, design modifications, or material sourcing are required. Stephanie Blake The Label reserves the right to adjust estimated timelines when necessary. Clients will be notified promptly of any significant changes.

Custom Design Terms

Custom projects are collaborative and require active communication throughout the design and production process.

Deposits

A non-refundable deposit of 30%–50% is required before work begins. The deposit secures your place in the production schedule and allows for the sourcing of fabrics and materials. Work will not begin until the deposit has been received.

Design Approval

Design modifications may be made during the concept and sample phase. Once the sample is approved and final production begins, no further design changes may be made.

Remaining Balance

The remaining balance is due within 7 days of project completion notification or prior to pickup/shipment — whichever occurs first. Garments will not be released until payment has been received in full.

Project Abandonment

If a client becomes unresponsive for a period of 30 days after documented outreach regarding approvals, fittings, balance payments, or pickup arrangements, the project will be considered abandoned.

In the event of abandonment:

  • Deposits remain non-refundable.

  • Any completed garment may be forfeited.

  • The studio reserves the right to resell, repurpose, or dispose of the garment at its discretion.

Storage

Completed garments not picked up within 14 days of completion notification may be subject to reasonable storage fees.

Bridal & Formal Terms

Bridal and formal garments require extended timelines, structured fittings, and clear communication.

Event Date

The event date must be provided at the time of booking. Production scheduling and fitting timelines are based on the stated event date. Stephanie Blake The Label is not responsible for delays resulting from inaccurate or withheld event information.

Fittings

Scheduled fittings must be attended as agreed. Missed appointments may delay production and affect final delivery timelines. Repeated missed appointments may result in timeline adjustments at the studio’s discretion.

Design Changes

Design modifications may be made during the concept and sample phase. Once the sample is approved and final fabrics are cut, no further design changes may be made.

If a redesign is requested after materials are cut:

  • New fabric and supply costs will be the responsibility of the client.

  • Additional design and labor fees will apply.

Measurements & Body Changes

Stephanie Blake The Label is not responsible for significant body changes occurring after final measurement confirmation or final fitting. If additional alterations are required due to body changes, such alterations (if feasible) will be treated as separate services and charged accordingly.

Timeline Recommendations

Clients are strongly encouraged to begin the process at least:

  • 3 months prior for minimal gowns or rehearsal attire

  • 6 months or more prior for wedding gowns

Alterations Policy

Stephanie Blake The Label offers alteration services for both in-house garments and client-owned pieces.

Estimates

Pricing listed on the website reflects average expected costs. Final pricing is determined after garment inspection. A formal quote will be provided before work begins.

General Alterations

Alterations are accepted based on studio capacity. All garments must be clean prior to service. The studio reserves the right to decline alteration projects outside of expertise or scheduling availability.

Rush Alterations

Rush services may be available depending on current workflow and project complexity. Additional fees apply. Acceptance of rush projects is not guaranteed.

Limitations

Certain alterations may not be structurally feasible depending on garment construction, fabric type, or original design. Stephanie Blake The Label is not responsible for limitations inherent to the original garment.

Sizing & Measurement Responsibility

Accurate measurements are essential for Made-to-Order and Custom garments.

Clients are responsible for providing correct and complete measurements. Stephanie Blake The Label is not responsible for fit issues resulting from inaccurate or incomplete measurements provided by the client.

If adjustment is required due to incorrect measurements, alterations may be considered at additional cost. Alterations are not guaranteed and are subject to structural feasibility and scheduling availability.

Stephanie Blake The Label is not responsible for body changes occurring after final measurements or fitting approval.

Shipping & Fulfillment

Shipping timelines vary depending on product type.

  • Made In-House & Ready to Ship and Curated – Studio Stock ship within 24–48 hours (excluding weekends and holidays).

  • Made to Order ships upon completion of production.

  • Curated – Partner Fulfilled items ship directly from partner warehouses and may have varying processing times.

Orders containing both in-studio and partner-fulfilled items may ship separately.

Returns & Exchanges

Return eligibility depends on product type.

Made In-House & Ready to Ship

  • Return requests must be submitted within 5 days of delivery.

  • Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in original condition with tags attached.

  • Approved returns are issued as store credit only.

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping.
    Return approvals are granted at the discretion of the studio due to the limited, handcrafted nature of each piece.

Made to Order

All Made-to-Order garments are final sale.

Custom Designs

Custom pieces are final sale with no exceptions.

Curated – Studio Stock

  • Return requests must be submitted within 7 days of delivery.

  • Items must be unworn, in original condition, with tags attached and original packaging intact.

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping.
    Upon inspection, an exchange (if available), store credit, or refund to the original payment method may be issued.

Curated – Partner Fulfilled

Return requests must be submitted within 7 days of delivery. Return instructions will be provided upon approval. Items must remain unworn, in original condition, with tags attached.

Damaged Items

Damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery with photo documentation and tags attached. If approved, a replacement, repair, or refund will be arranged.

Payments

Payment plans are available for custom bridal, formal, and select custom projects.

Most custom pieces require:

  • A non-refundable deposit prior to production

  • The remaining balance due before pickup or shipment

Made In-House, Ready to Ship, and Curated pieces require full payment at checkout.

Deposits are non-refundable.

Local pickup is available by appointment at Stephanie’s private office location once payment is complete.

Studio Rights & Discretion

Stephanie Blake The Label operates as an independent design studio. All projects are accepted at the discretion of the studio.

The studio reserves the right to decline or discontinue projects that:

  • Fall outside of scope or expertise

  • Cannot meet requested timelines

  • Present structural or feasibility concerns

  • Involve repeated non-responsiveness

  • Involve disrespectful or inappropriate communication

Deposits remain non-refundable if a project is discontinued due to violation of studio terms.

Respectful communication is expected at all times. The studio reserves the right to terminate service in cases of harassment, abusive behavior, or repeated disregard of agreed-upon policies.

Stephanie Blake The Label reserves the right to update policies at any time. The policies in effect at the time of purchase or agreement will apply to that order.
