Grandmother's Garden - AFW Summer 2024
Like seeds planted in fertile soil, families grow strongest when rooted in love. This collection honors the gardeners who came before us—the women who nurtured not just plants, but generations. Our roots run deep because they were planted by hands that knew the earth. Each generation blooms because of the care given by those who came before. We are here because they grew us.
Fertile Soil
The sowing begins. This opening look honors the hands that planted seeds—both in earth and in lineage—trusting that one day, we would bloom because they first believed.
Roots
Before we could bloom, they took root. Grounded in strength and sacrifice, they built the foundation from which generations would grow.
Sprouting
The first signs of growth. A tribute to the beginnings of our families—tender, hopeful, and born from the strength beneath them.
Budding
What was planted in sacrifice begins to show. Guided by passed-down knowledge and unwavering care, growth becomes undeniable.
Blossom
What once struggled to break through the soil now rises into view. This look celebrates generations beginning to shine—growth no longer hidden, but seen and radiant.
Pollination
What we’ve inherited, we also extend. Lessons carried on the wind, enriched with our own, so the next generation may bloom and thrive greater than the last.
Full Bloom
What was once planted with intention now thrives in abundance. Generations multiply like wildflowers—free, vibrant, and rooted in enduring love.
April Showers
Joy is watered by struggle. The storms endured before us became nourishment, teaching us resilience and giving us strength to rise taller.
May Flowers
After the storm, bloom. Beauty rises from endured winds and rain—proof that every storm waters the garden of our becoming.
Mother of the Wild Garden
The first hands in the soil. She nurtured with love, wisdom, and unseen labor—never knowing the garden would grow beyond her imagination, spreading wide in number and strong in its roots. What she planted is now a field of beauty, growing wild and free.
